A Vacation And A Celebration

This has been quite an eventful year in our family.  One college graduation, one high school graduation, two children starting college, two children leaving home, hundreds of phone calls, millions of texts, ….  You get the picture!

But through all of this, Mom and I somehow managed to find time to write on The Cookbook Experiment. Instead of pushing it to the back burner, we dedicated ourselves to writing more. The blog has drawn us closer to each other, through our long-distance recipe sharing, and has brought new friends into our lives. We can’t thank you, our readers, enough for your sweet comments and support! It’s so exciting to login and see several comments waiting for us. You have been a greater blessing than we ever imagined!

All that is to lead into a celebration announcement: The Cookbook Experiment is about to hit it’s 100th post! In fact, this post is #99.

We want to do something special to celebrate this milestone. We never thought the blog would last this long! What started as a fun side-project quickly developed into a full-fledged hobby and we want our 100th post to be extra special.

I will be going home to Greenville for a week-long vacation on September 24th. During that time, Mom and I will cook up our celebratory post and write it together. Since we are this close to my vacation time, we have decided to take a short break from blogging. Only 11 days are left until I travel home, but it might be a few days longer before we actually post again.

We hope you will stick with us until then! Thank you again for being our readers!

See you at the 100!

A mother-daughter project (our married names both begin with G) to rejuvenate our love of cooking and make meals creative and exciting! And now that I (mom) have discovered the Trim Healthy Mama way of cooking, I am trying to incorporate more healthful recipes!
