It’s hard to believe that Christmas is over and the start of a new year is just around the corner. I hope that you all enjoyed time with family and friends, remembered Christmases past, and made happy memories. Christmas in our house this year was bitter-sweet. For the very first time, not all my children were around my dinner table. Thanks to the retail business, Barbi was kept busy and had just Christmas day off work. An eight-hour round-trip drive on a holiday weekend added to the stress of dealing with Christmas shoppers made it impossible for her to come home. I am thankful that she can come for New Years and be here several days!
I used my mother’s Christmas table cloth again this year. It just wouldn’t seem like Christmas without it! I am guessing it is close to 48 years old now and is a bit faded, but it’s in good shape otherwise.
Our Christmas dinner is almost exactly like our Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberries–well, you get the idea!
Jan, I’m always so impressed with the beautiful tables that you set for holidays.
Thanks, Ann!
